Walley, anyone that didn't care about you in your ex family, didn't want to know the real you. They have their own problem that they refuse to deal with, and jealousy and envy was at the top of their list.

In response to: ..that you are dating them AND their families??

this subject came up in one of the conversations with me and my pals....a "newbie" to our circle of friends said this:

when you date/marry someone, you aren't just with them, but their whole family!!!!

this was cause for much discussion....cause I truly do NOT agree that someone's sibling OR family memebers chosen path should affect the person that you are interested with!

There were sooooo many biased opinions to this....bowever, I tend to differ with that statement in the sense that if you are with someone, of course you bave to accept their family, may it be "the cleavers" or "the addams family" but that should NOT be the final decision of "if" you should stay with that person

I don't believe that the person being persued should suffer the consequences that others have inflicted upon themselves....

anywho, just wondering how you guys feel about that

would someone's family be the "yay or nay" as to dating someone??? and if so, why???

Yes, it's true that the other person's family is in your life be it aunt, cousin etc. We don't get a choice with our spouses/ exes family, so what we see is basically what we get.

Tater: I just read your statement again, and it seems like you are saying you were living off your mother, and now that she is gone, you want help... Maybe it is time for you to grow up and be a man, and what is with the state of mind comment, I have to many questions...not trying to be insensitive..

Doesn't sound like he was living off his mom, sounds like his mom and his kids were his life and with them gone, he now has to live for himself. He doesn't know how to deal with 2 losses.

Nobunaga: Thanks Kelly !

I guess that's what I am feeling too, honestly I don't like to feel this way. You know have doubts. I have always given my all, but this would be the first time that I have this nagging doubt.

In a perfect world, it would be nice to have no doubts at all when we meet that certain someone.

When you have nagging doubts , its because the situation you now find yourself in, is not the right one for you at this time. It may be allright further down the road, but something now need fixing , reparing or rejuvenating first.

My question to you Nobunga. What really prevents you from falling in love again? It appears that you have more confidence within yourself now, than you did in the previous relationship. You are more attune with your thoughts and feelings, am I correct?
Nobunaga: Ladies, permit me to humbly seek your personal thoughts and advices.

Does falling in love again scares you ?

Tonight, I wonder about those who were in a long term relationship and marriages that has since faltered, did it feel like you could give all your love again without a small doubt ?

BTW: No, I have not found someone yet.

Women can be friends with men. However, if you run into a jealous girlfriend/ spouse, or you have a jealous partner, they can make this situation unbearable. I never like to feel that I am someone possession, so I opt out of possesive relationships.
In response to: I do not know if this thread has been on yet So if it has I am sorry but it is okay to be friends with men. I have more guy friends than girlsfriend that are true girlsfriends. and so are my male friends...... but some one I care about does see it that way.......... So help

No, falling in love doesn't scare me. However, I try not to be too quick to say I love you, because that scare some guys away. I would prefer to know that the guy really cares about me before I say anything.

Hope,
I want to be as sensitive as possible towards your situation. You need to give yourself sometime to heal. No, the next guy won't fail you. Everything happens for a reason, and for difficult situations such as yours, you build your strength, and gain courage, hope and faith, and you put one foot in front of each other. You can and you will, always remember that! comfort

Not unless he likes these particular jokes which makes it looks likes someone actually care more about him than they are letting on.

HJFinAZ: A few weeks ago I met a lady through some friends. I had only met her and these friends for coffee a couple of times, talked on the phone a couple of times.

The day before Thanksgiving, she had some outpatient surgery. Her girlfriend took her home and left her alone, she was still a little under the weather from being knocked out. It appears she got up to potty and take a pain pill, she took to many and it appears to have caused a heart attack. He roomie found her the next morning and called 911.

Long story short, she did some kind of damage to her right leg and cannot walk on it, she is in a Care Center for rehab, physically therapy. It is 5 minutes from me and I know what it is like to lay in a hospital for days. Mom & I go visit her every morning & evening for a few minutes.

It appears she has "feelings" we have never discussed (she is a very nice and cute lady). Yesterday and frequently several young ladies are at my house, none of them have a true relationship with their fathers. Three were here yesterday afternoon and for dinner, one had her 3 daughters with her.

Last night, I told Cheryl that I was a lucky man, I had 7 women at my dinner table and I was the only male. She said, "The next time I am in a relationship, "I" will get ALL of the attention".. I find this insane jealousy and being very selfish.

Any "thoughts"??

She is definitely NOT in a relationship, but if she were she would command all the attention.
Signals to me a control freak...Run , not walk to the nearest train station....You have to trust your instinct and stay clear.

twinkles1994: His ex wife adopted her so no. It's not making her happy that my ex is allowing our daughter contact with me and trying to re-establish a relationship. He has informed her that whether she likes it or not Anna has 2 moms!

I think I understand a little what you are saying. We were told that we would see the kids, but we never got to because a woman , no relative of theirs, shut us out. Now the kids are fully grown adults, and I tell you to reestablish a relationship isn't ever going to be easy , but we are certainly trying.

petegozo: Sex to me can be the simple act of penetration or stimulation. It doesn't necessarily have much to do with feelings or caring for the other.

Making love is a little different since you consider your partner's preferences, likes and dislikes and want the other to feel what you feel.
But then again what do I know ?

I am assuming you do care about the person you or with or why bother, right?
