About me and who I'm looking for

About me:

I guess one thing I am passionate about is photography. I see it as an art form. I try to stay current in world events and have a great love for history. I enjoy museums, art, things that are different. Nothing catches my attention more than historical places and events. I guess as a person, I can be compassionate and kind. I believe in honesty and honour. I can be off the wall in thought at times. People say I have a great sense of humour. I try to have empathy for the underdogs in life or at least compassion. I have great respect for those who overcome difficulties through their own struggles and can stand up to adversity. I love the trees covered in snow and the crispness of winters air, the awakening of spring, the warmth of summer and the bounty of autumn. I connect with the peace of a mountain meadow. I get excited about going to new places because at heart I am an explorer, always wanting to see what is just over the next hill. I am fascinated by old things, old places, things that have a story to them. I am into International films or the classics. Humphrey Bogart, Mel Gibson, Kevin Costner, Omar Sharif are some of my favourite actors. I love the rawness of Katherine Hepburn and subtleness of Bette Davis. One of my favourite movies is Dr Zhivago because it has so much passion. I fell in love with Lara almost from the start and I don't know why. Maybe because of her innocence or maybe just because she was Lara.

I'm looking for:

I am looking for a person with an adventerous spirit. Somebody who doesn't mind sitting around watching a good movie or just hopping in the car and going for a drive to any place. Honesty is important. A person who still has a connection to the child within, shows compassion, integrity, empathy and can laugh at themselves. Somebody who isn't into the biggest and the bestest with the mostest. I gave up keeping score a long time ago! A down to earth person with old fashion values.
